summer blog 2

Adrenaline, fans, anxiety, the perfectly cut turf, the excitement and the rush all come into mind when thinking about the Old Trafford, one of the most spectacular football stadiums on the planet I ever went to. it all starts with its beautiful design, its size and its  structure. When I first saw the stadium that host 60,000 fans. No one would ever understand the feeling I had when I entered unless he is a true football fan then he would understand what I am talking about. The first thing that I saw when I had entered the stadium was the majestic turf and the glorious structure of the stadium. Then I had noticed the fans as there was so many of them, they were mainly wearing the united jersey standing up chanting for there team all I can say that it was breathtaking to experience such an atmosphere. They had all looked the same they all had the look of anxiety and anticipation covering their faces as the game started the noise and chanting of the fans got louder and louder and it was just beautiful. The stadium was filled and the players started to enter you could see their face as they prepare to play the game against the opposing team it was just outstanding to be a part of all of this to stand side by side with people who understand your feelings towards your team. I will never forget the Old Trafford and the sights I have seen there, I keep those memories engraved in my mind till the next time.

summer blog 1

It all started when I was sitting down sipping a cup of tea watching a documentary talking about tribes and their territories, as I was watching I remembered okonkwo in things fall apart and how he would be classified as a tribesman. I kept admiring and thinking about his character and eventually I wrote a poem about him that describes his life and his character as a whole. here is the poem that i wrote.

You think you know me
You think you've seen me
For I am a hero with my own might
And I am a savior in my own right
I was ruled by fame
And okonkwo I became
They say I'm a specialist
But In reality I'm nothing but a perfectionist
My father was weak
But here I am at my peek
Ruled by pride
As if it was my bride
The problem is everyone has pride
Its something you are born with deep inside
No matter what you do
It’s always going to be there in you
Perhaps I should've put my ego aside
Perhaps I should've swallowed my own pride
Let me tell you about myself
I’m a man full of himself
I’m here to dominate
Not here to debate
I was known in many villages
Portrayed in different images
I’m a man ready fight
To secure my right
No one dares to step in my way
Because they’re going to see a nasty display
I know that I killed that child
That’s why I got exiled
It was time to revisit the tribe
And let the people rail and gibe
Everyone surrendered
As if they weren’t tempered
I tried to attack
But no one covered my back
I tried and tried
To restore our pride
Everyone bailed
Therefore I failed
I became weak
Therefore I'm no longer unique.
I was known for my achievements
Getting  different treatments
But know I’m viewed as a disgrace
That doesn’t belong to this place
Why should I live?
If I’m not going to forgive
